Contemporary Life Adult Sunday School Class

Contemporary Life Sunday School Group meets at 9:30 AM, in a classroom on the ground level below the sanctuary.  We are composed of mid-life, married and single women and men who build community through lively discussion of contemporary issues and their relationship to the Methodist doctrine.  Class participants share personal stories, points of view, and experience with the topics being discussed.  A wide variety of viewpoints is encouraged.

The class provides two annual fundraiser meals for the congregation:  Palm Sunday Brunch in the spring, and Biscuits and Gravy in the fall.  Members are active in many committees and activities throughout the church, and many of us also actively participate in providing the monthly Free to All Community Meal.

Although we are not specifically oriented toward Bible Study, one of the class members stated:  “ In my mind our journey leading to participation in our class began with God in Genesis and we are living in what Jesus came to teach us as the book of Revelation ended.  That in my mind is where much of our focus and discussion as a class emanates.”

We welcome new members and guests any time.  Come first Sundays for donuts!
