The purpose of the Alice and Elmer Black Job Opportunity Break Fund is to help individuals pursue career and educational goals. To assist these persons, the Avondale United Methodist Church is offering interest free loans or “pay it forward” grants to qualifying students. JOB Funds are distributed by the Avondale United Methodist Church JOB Fund committee.

 

How to Apply

       

Step 1 – Complete the FAFSA loan application online.

FAFSA Application: All applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid which can be done at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ and submit the Student Aid Report (SAR) with your JOB Fund application.

Step 2 – Complete the JOB Fund application.

Step 3 – Write a 300 to 500 word essay

The essay should include your personal career goals and the reason for your career choice.

Step 4 – Submit the completed JOB Fund application, Essay, and the SAR report to:
