"I heard the Bells"

Christmas Concert

Rezound!, an auditioned community handbell ensemble with members from throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, will be in concert at Avondale United Methodist, 3101 NE Winn Road, Kansas City, MO, on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 pm. Join us for this special performance featuring festive arrangements of holiday favorites.

In addition to a year-round concert schedule in the Kansas City region, Rezound! has enjoyed successful tours throughout the Midwest and has collaborated with area choral groups and other handbell choirs in a variety of concert settings. The ensemble has also shared the stage with the Kansas City Symphony and Symphony Chorus on their annual Christmas Festival concerts and has entertained fellow bell enthusiasts at Area and National Festivals of the Handbell Musicians of America.

Community involvement is an important aspect of ringing with Rezound! The group performs an annual holiday concert for the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, works with area church choirs by holding ‘mini-festival’ combined concerts, and has offered several educational programs in metro area schools, giving the students the opportunity to hear the music and ring the bells themselves. Member musicians are also active in the handbell community as directors, clinicians and instructors.

Rezound! members share a passion for creating exceptional music and promoting the art of this versatile instrument. The group performs a wide range of musical styles, from classical and sacred to folk tunes and original compositions, with a lively and unique sound that integrates a variety of handbell instrumentation.

Be sure to mark your calendars for this special performance to start your holiday season – more information about the ensemble can be found at or on our Facebook page.

  See you at the concert!
